  • Who is personal training for?
    If you fall into one of these three categories, personal training is for you: 1. If a public gym is too intimidating for you (trust me, we get it) private personal training is where to start. No crowds of gawkers, just you and John in the gym, bettering yourself. 2. If you walk about your commercial gym like a lost puppy bouncing from pieces of cardio equipment or exercise machines, personal training will get you on your feet so you can feel confident and competent with weights. 3. If you know how to lift but are struggling hitting goals or staying disciplined, personal training provides the accountability that you need to stay on track.
  • What plan works best for me?
    Very good question, we can definitely talk about that in a FREE consultation. But the All Inclusive plan covers both fitness and lifestyle, which is pretty awesome.
  • Can I get a refund if I don’t like training?
    We have a personal training guarantee. The personal training bundle is 24 sessions. Up until the 12th session, if you do not enjoy the service and do not wish to continue, you will be refunded for the remaining sessions plus the previous 2 that you did complete.
  • What does "Lifestyle Coaching" mean?
    Think coaching on what nutrition and overall wellness looks like! We deep dive into how and what you eat impacts your body. We also address topics like sleep, mental health, activity, and environment in the context of your daily life. You can expect to leave each session with practical next steps that help you lead a less stressful life!
  • Does John workout with his clients?
    No, John does not workout with his clients. He just tells you want to do as he walks around the gym (jk, kind of). He corrects your form and demonstrates new exercises. He’s also a pretty good spotter.
  • Can I bring a friend?
    If they want to come for the one-time, let’s talk about it. If they have a plan with us and we can schedule it, let’s do it.
  • What if I need to cancel a session?
    Life happens! You can reschedule anytime as long as it’s 24 hours or more in advance. If you need to make a cancellation and your session is in the next 24 hours you get one free cancellation, otherwise that session will be forfeited.
  • Where is the gym?
    The gym is a two car garage attached to a duplex house: 2997 South Union St in North Chili NY. Don’t be alarmed when you pull in and it's a house! Gym parking is on the right side.
  • Does the garage gym have a bathroom?
    No it does not. We have a changing room but no bathroom so please plan accordingly. However, there is a plaza with businesses that do have public restrooms less than 5 minutes down the road.
  • Do you have payment plans?
    You can either pay upfront or we can work out a monthly payment plan.
  • Is there an age requirement or age limit?
    For personal training, the youngest age we will service is 16 years old. There is no upper limit, you’re never too old to exercise!
  • How does Online Coaching work?
    We use an app called Quick Coach that you can access right on your phone. After a consultation, John will design your own workout routine based on your fitness goals, what equipment you have access to, and how often you’re committing to workout. He’ll provide accountability via texting check-ins throughout the months and more in depth phone calls every 4-6 weeks.
